The Vascular Neurologist will be integral to the operations of a world-renowned comprehensive stroke center with a strong neurohospitalists, neurointerventionalist, and neurosurgery components all under a single highly collegial Institute of Neuroscience. Building on one of the largest and most organized stroke referral networks in the US, this position offers outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained vascular neurologist interested in working in a high-volume practice at the forefront of the field of vascular neurology. The schedule is 7-on/7-off and position focuses primarily on inpatient stroke patient care with some inpatient general neurology and particapation in our stroke telemedicine program. CHI Memorial is a not-for-profit, 459-bed healthcare system and part of CommonSpirit Health, a faith-based network of hospitals covering 21 states and accessible to nearly one in four U.S. residentsAt the forefront of acute stroke research for over 15 years. This team is looking for candidates with a passion to combine clinical care and involvement in stroke research. Their team currently co-directs the national Neuroscience collaborative for CommonSpirit, their parent company, the second largest health care system in the country. With tremendous support from hospital administration and tight collaboration with their partners including Baylor St Luke’s in Houston and the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, this program is focused on adoption of protocols and technology driving to the very best patient outcomes. There is strong academic affiliation, ample opportunities for involvement in teaching and/or research on a local, regional, or national level exist for interested candidates.
